HIPPS system with partial stroke testing

Here at Val Controls, we designed this custom-made solution for ADNOC. We are approved for different critical applications for ADNOC and together with our partners these HIPPS systems have been successfully delivered.

Each HIPPS consist of two hydraulically actuated Shutdown valves, each one being controlled by two (2) pressure pilots, all in a skid mounted package. The valves will be arranged in series within the pipeline.
In case of high pressure detection, the HIPPS closes the Shutdown valves to protect the downstream facility Shutdown Valves & Actuator Assembly features.

The systems has Partial stroke testing system from Val Controls. The Val Controls system involve digital valve positioners, provide date, time stamp of test with capability to store and compare test results. In addition, they allow remote testing and retrieval of data remotely.

General application for Val Controls Hydraulic Positioner

Our IHP24 hydraulic positioner is a popular and reliable solution used by many control valve manufacturers around the world. Installed on a platform in the North sea in Denmark our IHP24 controls the position of this Hydraulic actuated Control Valve.

We design and manufacture intelligent electronic all capsuled and protected in a strong Ex d enclosure to withstand harsh environment.

Riser valve with partial stroke

Partial Stroke devices are used for many different applications. One of these are to secure the integrity of Riser valves. Field test have shown that if a valve is periodically exercised using a partial stroke device there will be fare less chance that it will be stuck the day its really needed.

The hydraulic actuated Riser valve is equipped with our Val Controls IDC24-AFL solution. It will perform periodically partial stroke and solenoid tests either through fixed date and time or controlled by DCS. All information can be downloaded and stored for onwards trending and for particular installation customer also requested on/off selector and push buttons.
