The IDC24-AF is designed to handle all tasks that an intelligent valve diagnostics controller could be used for. It provides customers with the capability to perform various valve diagnostics and tests, such as Partial Stroke testing of the valve. Furthermore, the controller is compatible with all types of valve systems, including 1oo1, 1oo2, 2oo2, and 2oo3 systems.

The IDC24-AF offers various configuration options, including pressure sensors compatible with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, as well as support for various communication protocols.

ValConnect - IDC24

Configuration software

ValConnect is a free software provided by Val Controls which can be used to configure all types of controllers sold by Val Controls. ValConnect is typically used when the controllers are initially set-up.

To configure the controller ValConnect must be downloaded to your PC and the PC connected to the USB-port located on the controllers local user interface.

With ValConnect it is possible to:

• Configure multiple units with the same configuration

• Save configuration for documentation

• Update software on the unit

• Monitor and control all in- and outputs

User interface

The local display control is available for the IDC24 model, granting full access to configure the controller and control the valve system. Furthermore, the IDC24 is equipped with various indicator LEDs that show the status of the system.

Graphical display and control buttons

The display is a four lined graphical display with backlight feature and adjustable contrast.

On the display you can see the status of the valve system, check position & pressure, start tests and perform diagnostics.

USB

The USB connection can be used to connect the IDC24 to a PC with ValConnect installed. ValConnect can be used to configure and control the IDC24 from the PC.

MTControl

When the IDC24-AF model is installed in a hazardous Area, opening the Exd enclosure is not allowed.
The MT Pen can operate the IDC24-AF through the enclosure and the MT Control function locks Automatically after operation to ensure unattended use.

The MTControl eliminates the need to open the units Ex D enclosure to operate the push buttons. The magnetic sensors placed below the push buttons, will detect magnetic signals from the MTControl pen provided by Val Controls.
