Intelligent Hydraulic Positioner by Val Controls
The basic flameproof edition of the IHP24 range is a plug and play affordable positioner which can be used for all hydraulic, pneumatic and electro-hydraulic actuators.
This unit is very easy to install and adjusts through intelligent autocalibration making it the most simple positioner on the market.
Our Stainless steel (CF3M) flame and explosion proof enclosure provides maximum safety for critical controls in hazardous areas, yet still with access to the user-friendly interface .

Configuration software
Display
The display is a four lined graphical display with backlight feature and adjustable contrast.
On the display you can see the status of the valve system, check error messages, start auto calibration and configure the controller.
Indication LEDs
The LED indicators can display various messages;
• Valve open or closed
• Valve movement in progress
• ESD active
• MTControl locked or unlocked
• Local control mode enabled
• If the pump active
USB connection
The USB connection can be used to connect the IHP24 to a PC with ValConnect installed. ValConnect can be used to configure and control the IHP24 from the PC.

MTControl
The MTControl eliminates the need to open the units Ex D enclosure to operate the push buttons. The magnetic sensors placed below the push buttons, will detect magnetic signals from the MTControl pen provided by Val Controls.

Description
The IHP24-BF (Basic Flameproof) enclosure option. With this unit there is no need for an external terminal box since all eqiupment is connected directly to the gland entries.

Advanced option
The advanced option offers six (6) Digital 24VDC output and four (4) Digital 24VDC wet input. This option is typically used for proportional systems.
The specifications (Dimensions, enclosure etc.) are the same as the IHP24-BF-H. The features and local user interface offered on the Advanced option is identical to the ones on the other IHP24 models.
At the example shown an IHP24-AF (Advanced Flameproof) is fitted with a local control panel containing buttons for open/close and to switch between remote and local control. The local control panel is a custom option which you can read more about below.
